Summary
This use case helps you run a variation-level 2×1 offer so customers receive the same variation for free when they meet the required quantity.
Context #
This promotion is ideal when you sell variable products and want the deal to apply to a specific variation (for example a specific size or color). It keeps the offer clean and avoids giving away a different variation by mistake.
What you can achieve #
- Offer a clear variation-based 2×1 deal on the product page.
- Ensure the free item matches the same variation chosen by the customer.
- Apply the discount automatically in the cart without coupons.
How this use case is configured #
Purchase These Products (Trigger) #
- Go to Bright Plugins Pro → BOGO Deal → Rules.
- Click Add Rule.
- In Purchase These Products:
- Product: select the specific variation you want to promote (if available in the dropdown).
- Required Quantity: set to 1.
Receive These Products (Reward) #
- In Receive These Products:
- Discount Type: select Free.
- Product: select the same variation used in the trigger.
- Required Quantity: set to 1.
img - Receive These Products - same variation selected - discount type free - required quantity 1
H3: Enable and save #
- Make sure the rule toggle is ON.
- Click Save Changes.
img - BOGO Rule header - rule name and enable toggle
Expected result #
When a customer selects that variation and adds 2 units to the cart:
- The BOGO card appears on the product page.
- The cart applies one unit as free for the same variation.
- The pricing reflects the 2×1 offer automatically.

Notes #
- If your product selector does not list variations, select the parent product and test the rule to confirm it behaves as expected for your store setup.
- Always test the offer with the exact variation you want to promote before launching the campaign.
Key benefits #
- Prevents confusion between different sizes or colors.
- Keeps the promotion precise for variable products.
- Simple setup without coupons.
- Clear display on product and cart pages.
