WooCommerce plugin experts
Bright Plugins is the plugin team at Bright Vessel, a Verified WooCommerce Expert. Every plugin we sell began as a fix a real client needed.
What we do best
Bright Vessel is a full WordPress management company. We do not bolt management onto a service and leave it on auto-pilot the way most hosting companies do with their management plans. We take full responsibility for the speed, uptime, security and overall well-being of the more than 500 sites we manage.
How does that relate to Bright Plugins? We understand the code we write and how these tools actually behave in production, because we run them in production ourselves. Our plugin team services those clients daily, which is where the pitfalls and the missing features get found — long before they reach a release.
How we got here
We did not set out to be a plugin company. Each of these started as a client problem with no good answer available, and we published the fix rather than keeping it.
- Product Category Expiration for WooCommerce — our first plugin on WordPress.org. A client needed to disable a "new arrivals" category at certain times, so we built the option and released it free for everyone.
- Notifications Manager for WooCommerce — we needed a way to disable email notifications while working on a site, so customers do not receive order mail while we debug.
- Edit Entries for Gravity Forms — a client wanted to correct leads where the user had typed the wrong details. There was no free option, so we made one. It is now the official add-on for Gravity Forms, used by over 7,000 sites.
- Show Stock Status for WooCommerce — some themes have no option to show stock on a product page. We built the fix for a client and released it free.
- Block IP for Gravity Forms — nobody likes form spam, ourselves included, so we built a tool to block those submissions. Also an official Gravity Forms add-on.
- Order Status Control for WooCommerce — we kept seeing the need to control how order statuses are set, so we built it and have extended it over the years.
- Order Categories for WooCommerce — for stores that need orders sorted into categories, which matters once channel managers are reviewing them at volume.
- Pre-Orders for WooCommerce — the free version came first, during the pandemic, for stores that were out of stock but still needed to take payment from customers willing to wait. Six months of further work produced the pro version, and our first real website.
- Min/Max Quantities for WooCommerce — our second pro launch, setting minimum and maximum thresholds and group multiples per product, including variations. See the pro version.
That is the point at which Bright Plugins became its own thing: somewhere we could push our knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce further than project work allowed. You can browse the free plugins or the paid range.
